Doors, Walls, Windows

Seed-funding in place, Seeking Israeli Partner

A Rafah neighborhood seeking to recover  from trauma through sport, draws upon their spirit of teamwork to repair damaged homes and infrastructure, with materials to be purchased, and packaged by a peace group near Sderot, Israel, and worldwide advocacy to allow shipment of these vitally needed building materials and to open the blockade of Gaza.

This project extends our commitment to peacemakers in Gaza and Israel, gives an Israeli neighborhood group a good way to help their neighborhood, and initiates a tangible grassroots initiative that will help end the blockade of Gaza.  Rebuilding Alliance has completed building projects in Gaza, East Jerusalem, and the West Bank which have benefited each of the communities.  In this case, we not only provide the materials for those afflicted to personally help rebuild their homes- we also provide economic benefit to the blighted community of Sderot and open an indirect channel of communication between non-governmental peace and community groups in Israel and Gaza.  Our goal is to provide a reliable avenue for goods to flow from Israel to Gaza for the benefit of local groups and communities.

If your group would like to partner with the Rebuilding Alliance for this project, please call or write to us at  Contact @RebuildingAlliance.org.
