Gaza Emergency Relief Appeal

In the wake of bombings in Gaza, Rebuilding Alliance’s NGO partners provided families in Gaza with food parcels. Help us pay the bills!

Background

It was in 2014 when Rebuilding Alliance first delivered during an active conflict. As 1000 bombs were falling each day, thousands ran for their lives, taking refuge in U.N. schools. The family whom the late Rachel Corrie sought to protect in Gaza asked us to arrange food deliveries and cleaning supplies when we thought it near impossible. Store owners accepted a promissory note from Rebuilding Alliance and the Rachel Corrie Foundation. Volunteers joined in to pick up the food, bringing it to the 2000 people taking refuge in each of the  UN schools.

May 2023 Crisis

Starting on May 9th, 2023 Gaza saw intense bombing for five days causing destruction, loss of life, economic shutdown, trauma. We met our NGO partners in Gaza to assess community’s needs. On the advice of our Gaza NGO partners, we decided to provide bags of essential food supplies to Gaza families, starting with a small goal of serving 200 families. Our partners acted fast. They procured supplies from vendors on credit and prepared bags even when bombs were falling. Because the situation demanded urgent attention, the only way we could provide relief to families was to procure food supplies from vendors on credit. We need your help to raise $10,000 funds to pay the bills.

In May 2021, Rebuilding Alliance again provided relief to Gaza community during the conflict.
