Your support helps the Bisan Association feed families in Gaza

Thanks for supporting a hot meals program which is allowing our Palestinian NGO partners in Gaza to address widespread hunger and starvation in Gaza. Our NGO partners operate 21 kitchens with assistance from the World Food Programme, serving an average of 57,000 meals a day.

Bisan Association is one of Rebuilding Alliance's NGO partners in Gaza, currently serving an average of 10,000 meals a day. Rana, Head of the Bisan Association, shared what it's like to have lived through this past year of war and horror in Gaza. After being forced to leave her home, Rana has spent every day helping fellow displaced families by providing them with warm, nourishing food from Bisan’s three kitchens.

Rana reminisced about the old times, saying "Our life before the war was very beautiful and stable. We worked with women on our team, I was able to travel within Gaza without any problems or fear. I lived in the city of Rafah before the displacement. I was displaced more than three times from one place to another in search of safety, but no place is safe anymore."

Rana shared how her days look these days: "I wake up early to check on my children first, and then I start working in the kitchen. I deal with people, listen to their problems, prepare food for them, and distribute it. After that, I return to my home, which is just a tent, to prepare food for my children and tend to their needs. At night, I fall asleep right away from the exhaustion of the whole day."

Gaza is in desperate need of almost all basic necessities for life, especially food supplies. With winter approaching, people will have to bear the cold while living in tents. Your generous support is making a vital difference, helping the Bisan Association provide nourishing meals to families in Gaza.
