Palestine, We Care

Emergency Response:

New COVID-19 outbreaks are reaching 1000/day in Gaza, four times that of any West Bank governorate. With testing minimal and social distancing next to impossible in Gaza’s densely populated, poverty-stricken neighborhoods, masks matter— so does soap, hand sanitizer, & food. Send Rapid COVID-19 test kits, PPE’s, and oximeters, to Non-Governmental hospitals in Gaza. Provide boxes of food, mask, and hygiene supplies to the most vulnerable delivered by our Palestinian NGO aid partners. Aid matters.

When the threat of COVID-19 loomed over Palestine, Rebuilding Alliance mobilized quickly. We sent our partner NGO hospitals, Ahli Arab and Al Awda, test kits, medical gowns, gloves, masks, and medicine. We also partnered with other NGOs in the Gaza Strip and West Bank to distribute hygiene kits and food baskets to over 900 families in crisis  The personal protective equipment was made by a Gaza manufacturer, which provided much-needed jobs in the struggling economy.

Rebuilding Alliance’s historic work within the Palestinian medical sector put us in the perfect position to help. In 2009, we built and equipped a Jordan Valley birthing center, which led us to be in close coordination with  the Ministry of Health as all imports to Palestine must go through their associated government branch in addition to Israeli customs and military. And in 2015, we leveraged our logistics and shipping expertise to send  30,000 solar lights to Gaza. With the help of our generous donors, Rebuilding Alliance continues to utilize what we’ve learned from past initiatives to support families and frontline workers during the pandemic.
